If you received a copy of your background check and any information reported is incorrect, you have the right to open a consumer dispute. Please give us a call at 888-350-7681 opt 1 or visit our website and fill out our consumer dispute form. We will need to know which specific information is incorrect in order to reinvestigate the report. Once your dispute has been received you will receive the following email informing you of our process:
As part of our obligations under section 1681 of the Fair Credit Reporting Act, we have a maximum of 30 days to resolve your dispute. Your prospective employer will also be notified of the dispute. Once we have completed our reinvestigation an email will be sent to you stating that our reinvestigation of your consumer report is complete.
An updated copy of the report will be sent to you upon completion of our reinvestigation. This copy will contain notes during our reinvestigation along with any updated information. If you have any questions at all please contact our customer service team.
