ProScreening works directly with Abbott eScreen for any clients that would like to participate in a Random Drug Screen Program. ProScreening helps clients maintain a roster of active employees within eScreen. This roster is then entered into a random generator by eScreen. Once the selection list is generated, ProScreening will reach out to the company's randoms contact for scheduling details and will email the ePassport to distribute. As the results are reported, ProScreening will send the results to the company's random contact as password protected documents.
There are two types of pools a company can be set up with.
Consortium :
If your list of employees is 49 people or less, this process is done through a consortium. A consortium is an association of companies or groups of employers that join, as a single entity, for drug and alcohol testing its members/employees. This is run by eScreen bi-monthly and cannot be changed.
Regarding pull percentages for consortiums, eScreen is responsible for maintaining the required rates for the consortium as a whole. The rate requirement is not specific to each participating company within the consortium. If a consortium has a 50% requirement, that 50% is for the consortium pool as a whole, the client may end up testing at a rate of more than or less than 50% of their own employee population, over the course of the year.
Stand-Alone :
If your list of employees is 50 or more, then the process is done through a Stand-Alone Pool. A Stand-alone pool is specific to your company only, and is not combined with any other company. All employees must fall within the same regulation and setup can be customized to suit your program needs. For example, you can specify that your pool be generated with 15% of your employees every quarter or four times a year.
